These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of naturalstatenotarybond.com (the "Site") and the services provided by Stockton-Hill Insurance LLC, doing business as Natural State Notary Bond ("Natural State Notary Bond," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Natural State Notary Bond helps Arkansas residents (and those employed in Arkansas) obtain or renew an Arkansas notary commission, including the purchase of an Arkansas notary surety bond underwritten by American Surety Company (ASC). We also provide guidance regarding the state exam, the state application, and the county filing process required to complete an Arkansas commission.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien, and a legal resident of Arkansas (or otherwise qualify through Arkansas employment or business under state law), and otherwise be eligible for an Arkansas notary commission, to use our bond services.
3. Bond Purchases, Fees, and Payment
The notary bond package is $50, which includes a 10-year, $7,500 Arkansas notary surety bond and $5,000 of Errors & Omissions (E&O) coverage. Higher E&O limits are available at checkout for an additional premium. State and county fees are paid separately and directly, including the $20 notary application fee to the Arkansas Secretary of State and the filing fee charged by the recorder of deeds in your county of commission. Filing fees paid on the state portal are non-refundable. All fees are subject to change, and state and county fees are set by the State of Arkansas and its counties.
4. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
By providing your mobile phone number to Stockton-Hill Insurance LLC dba Natural State Notary Bond, you agree to receive SMS/text messages regarding notary bond applications, policy and service updates, billing, document requests, appointment scheduling, and related account communications. 5. Notary Exam and Filing Disclaimer
Arkansas requires applicants to pass a notary exam. The exam and the notary application are administered by the Arkansas Secretary of State, and the oath of office and bond filing are completed in person with the recorder of deeds in the applicant's county of commission. We do not administer the exam and we do not perform or file these steps on the customer's behalf. Any guidance we offer is informational only.
6. Insurance and Agency Disclosure
Natural State Notary Bond is a service of Stockton-Hill Insurance LLC, a licensed insurance agency. Surety bonds are underwritten by American Surety Company, an A-rated carrier. Insurance services are subject to availability and underwriting approval. Any optional insurance discussion is conducted by a licensed agent and carries no obligation.
